Kieffer is a large golden-colored fruit with a crimson blush. It has crisp, juicy white flesh, a coarse texture, and is excellent for canning and baking. Pick the fruit and store it in a cool place, will sweeten over time as it ripens. Almost immune to fireblight. Better with a pollinator. Vigorous and very hardy. Required Chill hours 350-400 Zones 5-9. New trees can produce fruit in 2-3 years depending on care.
