The 'Compacta' Holly is an easily maintained, globe-shaped plant, ideal for use near a house. It thrives in full sun to partial shade and is highly tolerant of urban conditions and easy to transplant. While it can handle poor, sandy soil, it prefers clay; however, it is intolerant of both alkaline soil and drought.
